Robot ROI should be calculated using the actual task being automated. Start with current labour hours, wage and burden costs, overtime, cleaning frequency, consumables and the area being serviced. Then compare those costs with the robot subscription, supervision, consumables and any site-specific costs.
Operational benefits such as improved consistency, overnight coverage, reporting and reduced physical workload can also be measured, but they should be identified separately from direct financial savings.
